Softball Recap: Ann Sobrato Wins Going Away Against Leland

Ann Sobrato lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Leland, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Chargers on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Sam Zimmerman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ann Sobrato got a big performance out of Julia Carlsen, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Carlsen has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Bouton, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
