Soccer Game Preview: Hingham vs. Marshfield

The Hingham Harbormen are taking a road trip to face off against the Marshfield Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Hingham is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering New Bedford just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Saturday. They lost 3-0 to the Whalers. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, Hingham's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Marshfield had just enough and edged out Quincy 2-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Marshfield in their matchups with Quincy: they've now won six in a row.

Nolan McDonough and Brady Hanson scored both of Marshfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Marshfield now has a winning record of 6-5-3. As for Hingham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2-2.

Hingham came out on top in a nail-biter against Marshfield in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Harbormen since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
