 Making Waves Academy fell victim to Head-Royce and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 15-0 walloping at the hands of the Head-Royce Jayhawks. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Making Waves Academy in their matchups with Head-Royce: they've now lost six in a row.
 For Head-Royce's part,  Elena Krauss and  Juno Yu were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Krauss   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Yu   struck out eight batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season. At the plate,  Krauss  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Yu  went 3-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Ashley Levy and  Sienna Howard did most of the damage at the plate:  Levy  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2, while  Howard  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Levy has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played.  Jayla Davis was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Making Waves Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Head-Royce, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with that  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Making Waves Academy will take on Cornerstone Christian at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Head-Royce, they will head out on the road to  square off against  The Bay School at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
