League recap: Stockton scores huge upset over Pleasant Hope

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Stockton, who took down 293rd ranked Pleasant Hope, 26-7.

Strafford moved up to 97 from 123 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mid-Lakes. The Indians were able to make the jump by besting University Academy Charter 36-0.

Strafford's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Wade threw for 278 and three touchdowns and Dallas Hester had 98 yards receiving. On the ground Brady Collier chipped in 109 yards. Brandon Foley helped Strafford's passing attack out by catching two balls for 60 yards.

Kory Noe made the biggest impact on defense this week as Tim Hester's team defeated the Gryphons. The 5-foot-11 defensive lineman grabbed 1.5 sacks.

The Indians' Wade and Hester have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wade has thrown for 1443 yards this season, while Hester, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 21 catches for 539 yards. Logan Bryan from Skyline leads the league in rushing with 1020 yards.

Ash Grove's Logan Allred is a mere 21 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Allred has rushed for 979 yards on 104 carries so far this year.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Indians take on the Pirates. Strafford is in first place, while Ash Grove is in third place.

The Indians took down University Academy Charter 36-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Wade ran for 10 yards in the win.
