Basketball Recap: Horatio Shaffer III Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

Harlem won the last time they faced Hephzibah and things went their way on Friday too. The Harlem Bulldogs came out on top against the Hephzibah Rebels by a score of 51-42.

Harlem got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Horatio Shaffer III out in front who posted ten points. Jayden Futrell was another key player, putting up eight points.

Hephzibah's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of JAMARCUS SALMOND, who had 11 points and seven rebounds, and ISAIAH RICHARDSON, who earned 15 points and six boards. Those seven boards gave SALMOND a new career-high.

The win got Harlem back to even at 10-10. As for Hephzibah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Harlem has already played their next match, a 41-40 defeat against Academy of Richmond County on the 3rd. As for Hephzibah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 81-52 loss against Westside on the 4th.
