Volleyball Game Preview: Hunt Warriors vs. Southern Nash Firebirds

The Hunt Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Southern Nash Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hunt is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Hunt and C.B. Aycock, and Hunt kept the tradition alive. The Warriors came out on top against the Golden Falcons by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

While Hunt might've won, it sure wasn't easy: C.B. Aycock scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Southern Nash posted their closest victory since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Northern Nash 3-2. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Southern Nash took Northern Nash into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-17, 25-13, 22-25, 15-10.

The victory got Hunt back to even at 11-11. As for Southern Nash, their win bumped their record up to 18-1.

Hunt suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Southern Nash when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
