Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

Monte Vista lost against Grossmont back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Monarchs lost 3-0 to the Foothillers. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-11.

Grossmont can attribute much of their success to Ciarrah Doliente, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Monte Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Grossmont, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Monte Vista will challenge rival West Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Grossmont is set to face off against their familiar foe El Cajon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
