Baseball Recap: Corning Takes a Loss

Corning lost against Sloan-Hendrix back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Corning Bobcats came up short against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds, falling 11-4.

Corning dropped their record down to 1-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Sloan-Hendrix, their record is now 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corning will challenge East Poinsett County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they will square off against Cave City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sloan-Hendrix is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
