Softball Recap: Cimarron-Memorial Comes Up Short

Cimarron-Memorial lost against Legacy on April 1st, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans came up short against the Longhorns, falling 22-12. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Myra Cano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Taylor Ramos, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Cimarron-Memorial now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Legacy, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron-Memorial will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th. As for Legacy, they will square off against Durango at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Longhorns' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
