Soccer Game Preview: Clarke vs. Lamoni

The Clarke Indians will head out to square off against the Lamoni Demons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Clarke's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Clarke's offense. They lost 10-0 to West Central Valley on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Clarke have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, Lamoni kicked off their season last Tuesday but they'll have to wait until their next matchup for a more definitive result. They and Chariton finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw.

Clarke's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. Lamoni's draw gives them a new season record of 0-0-1.

Clarke beat Lamoni by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
