Baseball Game Preview: Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs vs. DeLand Bulldogs

We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Flagler Palm Coast will be strutting in after a win while DeLand will be coming in after a loss.

Flagler Palm Coast barely beat Deltona the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Flagler Palm Coast blew past Deltona 10-3 on Friday. That seven run margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

Marion Clayton was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Logan Shudy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Flagler Palm Coast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Deltona only posted a batting average of .167.

Meanwhile, DeLand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to Spruce Creek.

DeLand's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Flagler Palm Coast, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Flagler Palm Coast couldn't quite finish off DeLand in their previous meeting back in February and fell 2-0. Can Flagler Palm Coast avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
