Volleyball Recap: Make It 11 in a Row for Xavier Prep + How To Watch

Xavier Prep waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Palm Springs Indians 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Xavier Prep not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Palm Springs between 13 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-16.

Xavier Prep was led to victory by Aubree Burrell and Annabel Frederick. Burrell had six digs and two aces, while Frederick had 11 digs and five aces. Frederick is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

They weren't the only good servers: Xavier Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive matches.

Xavier Prep's win bumped their record up to 27-5. As for Palm Springs, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Xavier Prep will venture away from home to challenge Desert Christian Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palm Springs, they will head out to square off against Palm Desert at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
