On Friday, Pope John Paul II faced Father Ryan in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Pope John Paul II Knights came out on top against the Father Ryan Irish by a score of 66-56. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won five in a row.

It was another big night for Osby Cavin, who went 6-for-13 en route to 19 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Pearson, who almost dropped a double-double with ten rebounds and nine assists.

Cavin wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Pope John Paul II was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.
