Basketball Recap: Newcomb Takes a Loss

Newcomb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-21 loss at the hands of the Des Moines Demons.

Newcomb's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Des Moines, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Newcomb and Des Moines will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Skyhawks see the court they'll take on Kirtland Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2026. As for Des Moines, their break will end when they face Logan at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
