Baseball Game Preview: Glen Allen Jaguars vs. Deep Run Wildcats

The Glen Allen Jaguars will take on the Deep Run Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Glen Allen's offense. They lost 9-0 to Atlee on Tuesday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Deep Run ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past Freeman 4-2.

Parker Noonan spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Vince Porcaro, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Eric Skowycz, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Deep Run's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-7. As for Glen Allen, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
