Basketball Recap: Mountain Range Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Mountain Range Mustangs took a blow against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens , falling 90-19. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Ravens are ranked 25th).

Josieraye Running Wolf was Mountain Range's leading scorer, having posted nine points. Running Wolf also led the team in rebounds with three.

It was another big night for Brihanna Crittendon, who almost dropped a double-double on 43 points and nine boards for Riverdale Ridge. That makes it three consecutive games in which Crittendon has scored at least a third of Riverdale Ridge's points. Shay Vigil was another key player, going 6 for 11 en route to 14 points and four steals.

Mountain Range now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Riverdale Ridge, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Mountain Range wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-51 win against Northglenn on the 25th. Riverdale Ridge has also already played their next game, a 79-21 victory against The Classical Academy on the 25th.
