Basketball Recap: Pieper Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Pieper can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took down the Tivy Antlers 62-48. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Antlers are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pieper's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but MAYSON THOMAS led the charge by going 10 of 15 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds. THOMAS's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of PARKER GOLSCH, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Pieper's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 16-10. As for Tivy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-15.

Pieper will head out to square off against Veterans Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Pieper is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Tivy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against New Braunfels at 6:30 p.m. New Braunfels has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three games.
