Basketball Game Preview: Memphis Home Education Association vs. Briarcrest Christian Saints

Memphis Home Education Association will head out to take on the Briarcrest Christian Saints at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Briarcrest Christian will be up against a hot Memphis Home Education Association squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Memphis Home Education Association blew past PURE Academy 76-49 on Friday. Given Memphis Home Education Association's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while PURE Academy is ranked 295th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Memphis Home Education Association found their leader in sophomore Sean Adubato, who posted 31 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adubato has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caleb Thomas, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Briarcrest Christian posted their biggest win since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They breezed by Memphis University School to the tune of 67-35. Winning may never get old, but the Saints sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Briarcrest Christian's victory was their 27th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Memphis Home Education Association, their win bumped their record up to 22-4.

Memphis Home Education Association suffered a grim 56-34 defeat to Briarcrest Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Memphis Home Education Association avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
