Softball Recap: West Point Pointers vs. Northumberland Indians
West Point was not able to break out of their rough patch in Monday's second game as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northumberland Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to West Point of the 9-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture in Monday's first game.
Haley Spradlin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and a triple. Gabby Davis was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
West Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Northumberland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-3-2 record this season.
