Basketball Recap: Marble Falls Comes Up Short

Marble Falls lost against Gateway College Preparatory on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marble Falls Mustangs took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gateway College Preparatory Gators. The Mustangs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Marble Falls' loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Gateway College Preparatory, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Marble Falls will venture away from home to take on Taylor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marble Falls is facing Taylor at the right time seeing as Taylor is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gateway College Preparatory, they will welcome Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gateway College Preparatory is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
