Sadly, the Fontbonne Hall Academy Bonnies are still looking for their first win of the season after seven games. They were dealt a 82-44 loss at the hands of Moore Catholic on Wednesday. Fontbonne Hall Academy has not had much luck with Moore Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Moore Catholic was led to victory by Brianna Caliri and Emma Costanzo. Caliri dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Costanzo scored 17 points along with seven assists. Costanzo continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alyssa Ragona was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Fontbonne Hall Academy's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Moore Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.
Fontbonne Hall Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Edmund Prep at 5:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New York (Fontbonne Hall Academy is ranked 374th, while St. Edmund Prep is ranked 391st). As for Moore Catholic, they will square off against Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
