Volleyball Recap: Chico Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Chico lost against Pleasant Valley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-20.

Selija Marinescu paced Chico's offense, picking up nine kills. Marinescu got some help from Lyla Taylor and her 13 assists.

Pleasant Valley found their leader in sophomore Keira Purvis, who had 12 digs and five aces. Purvis is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Pleasant Valley, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chico will square off against rival Shasta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Red Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
