Basketball Recap: Fredericktown Triumphs

The Fredericktown Freddies were able to grind out a solid win over the Maysville Panthers on Monday, taking the game 57-49.

Mya Bryant was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 23 points and 16 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Bouton, who posted eight points along with eight boards and six blocks.

Fredericktown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They are 10-2 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Fredericktown's record now sits at 14-7. As for Maysville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Fredericktown will be playing at home against Mt. Gilead at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maysville, they will venture away from home to challenge Zanesville at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
