Basketball Recap: Pine Tree Academy Comes Up Short

Pine Tree Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 70-23 defeat at the hands of the Valley Cavaliers. While losing is never fun, the Breakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Cavaliers are ranked 12th).

Pine Tree Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Richmond the next time they take the court. Pine Tree Academy will host Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while Valley will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
