Adriane Garza Delivers Best Performance of Season

Adriane Garza produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mitchell to the win on Friday. Garza rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 113 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

On Friday, Gordon-Rushville had to settle for second even though Kyler Vincent put up the best numbers he has all season. Vincent rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Vincent might have his next game, a home matchup with Valentine, circled on his calendar. Vincent rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries the last time he and the duked it out back in September of 2023.

Jacob Bosshamer Turns in Season-Best Effort

Sadly, Jacob Bosshamer posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Kearney Catholic over Mitchell on Friday. Bosshamer threw for 373 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes.

Kearney Catholic's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-1. Bosshamer and Kearney Catholic will face off against Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sadly, Atreyu May posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Kearney Catholic over Mitchell on Friday. May picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 60 yards.
