Basketball Game Preview: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Roy Royals

The Woods Cross Wildcats will challenge the Roy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Woods Cross is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Viewmont just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 56-53.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Roy's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clearfield.

Woods Cross will have to contain Colby Frokjer as he made an impact in Roy's last game. He went 10 of 20 en route to 23 points and four steals. That was a full 35.9% of Roy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Jones, who put up 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Roy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Woods Cross, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
