Basketball Recap: Chesapeake Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Chesapeake duked it out withArundel on Tuesday. The Chesapeake Cougars took a blow against the Arundel Wildcats, falling 106-48. The Cougars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Javeon Reed, who went 8 for 17 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and five assists for Arundel. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellis Johnson, who went 5 of 9 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Chesapeake's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Arundel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Chesapeake has already played their next contest, a 73-53 defeat against Southern on the 24th. As for Arundel, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-52 victory against Broadneck on the 24th.
