Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Brownell Talbot's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Brownell Talbot won the last time they faced Parkview Christian, and Abbi Gibbs did her part to make sure it happened again. The Brownell Talbot Raiders took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 50-4 win over the Parkview Christian Patriots thanks in part to Gibbs, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 23 times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Gibbs, who went 7 of 14 on her way to 14 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Brownell Talbot has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Parkview Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownell Talbot will venture away from home to square off against Weeping Water at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parkview Christian, they will head out to face off against Sterling on Thursday. Sterling has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
