Recap: Solid Rock Community Sea Shepherds vs. Ridge Christian Academy Eagles
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 78-24, which was the final score in Solid Rock Community's tilt against Ridge Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Leading Ridge Christian Academy to victory were Daniel Garrido and Karl Bess. Garrido dropped a double-double on 18 points and 20 assists, while Bess dropped a double-double on 40 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Bess scored 15 or more points.
Solid Rock Community dropped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.4 points per game. As for Ridge Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-9.
Solid Rock Community will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsborough Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ridge Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Vanguard at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Vanguard is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
