Volleyball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington lost against North Myrtle Beach back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wildcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chiefs.

While Lexington was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24.

Leading North Myrtle Beach to victory were Mikayla Altena and Katlyn Powers. Altena had 23 assists and eight digs, while Powers had 16 digs. That's the most digs Powers has posted since back in September of 2024.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Myrtle Beach, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Lexington has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Catawba Ridge on the 23rd. As for North Myrtle Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Hoggard on the 23rd.
