Softball Recap: Eldorado Firehawks vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions
Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions, falling 22-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mountain Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-3 two weeks ago.
Stephanie Ramos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Gallegos Ariel was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Sierra Vista, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.
Looking ahead, Eldorado will be playing at home against Doral Academy Red Rock at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Firehawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sierra Vista, they will head out to square off against Bonanza at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
