Recap: Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds vs. Brush Beetdiggers

The Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They escaped with a win against Brush by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42. The win was just what Windsor Charter Academy needed coming off of a 69-20 loss in their prior contest.

Windsor Charter Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylie Smith out in front who scored seven points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Kimmi, who scored seven points along with six steals and five assists.

Windsor Charter Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6. As for Brush, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor Charter Academy will play host again and welcome Loveland Classical, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Loveland Classical is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Brush, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Frontier Academy at 6:00 p.m.
