Baseball Recap: Tenino's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Tenino dropped their record down to 18-7 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Castle Rock Rockets by a score of 5-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Beavers of the 7-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

As for Castle Rock, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games.

For Castle Rock's part, Brady Hamer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Stuart Teter was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Luke Farland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Tenino nor Castle Rock have any future games scheduled.
