Basketball Game Preview: Frankfort Hot Dogs vs. Winamac Warriors

The Frankfort Hot Dogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Winamac Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Frankfort will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Frankfort is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Danville on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Frankfort took a blow against Danville, falling 87-23. The Hot Dogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-17.

Despite the defeat, Frankfort saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ava Jarman posted 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for Jarman.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-26, which was the final score in Winamac's tilt against Rensselaer Central on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now lost five in a row.

Kandace Kroft was Winamac's leading scorer, having posted 14 points.

Frankfort's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Winamac, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
