Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Imperial

The Brawley Wildcats will head out to take on the Imperial Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brawley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brawley's offense. They fell 2-0 to Calexico on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Brawley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 547th, while Calexico are ranked 258th).

Meanwhile, Imperial managed to keep up with Central until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Spartans.

Imperial's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Brawley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-3.

Brawley came up short against Imperial in their previous meeting on January 13th, falling 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
