Football Game Preview: University Cougars vs. Colonial Grenadiers

The University Cougars will challenge the Colonial Grenadiers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. University's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

University's offense might be in the hot seat on Monday considering what happened against Timber Creek on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 32-0 loss at the hands of the Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Wolves are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Colonial had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory.

Colonial's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

University came up short against Colonial in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 6-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
