Destin won the last time they faced Lighthouse Private Christian Academy and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Sharks were the clear victors by  a  16-1 margin over the Stingrays. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by ten  runs or more this season.
 Aspen Benscoter made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and only one walk). Benscoter was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news, Destin let  Anita Palmer and  Keelie Ellis run wild. Palmer  went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, two  doubles,  and one  triple, while  Ellis  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  four  hits gave  Palmer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emma Grisoff, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Destin  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .567. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
The  victory made it two in a row for Destin and  bumps their season record up to 10-5. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1  runs in those games. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Destin will welcome Central  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 11.2  runs per game this season. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pensacola  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Stingrays are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on  a  five-game losing streak.
