Basketball Recap: South St. Paul Comes Up Short

South St. Paul was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Thomas Academy Cadets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Packers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 67-61 back in January.

South St. Paul's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for St. Thomas Academy, they moved to 9-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

South St. Paul will be playing at home against Mahtomedi at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South St. Paul knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Mahtomedi likes a good challenge. As for St. Thomas Academy, they will head out to take on North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. North will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Thomas Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
