Basketball Recap: NV - Old Tappan Takes a Loss

NV - Old Tappan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-46 heartbreaker at the hands of the River Dell Golden Hawks. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Golden Knights have suffered since December 19, 2024.

Aditya Pandya continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for River Dell, dropping a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. The game was Pandya's ninth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was David Nunez, who posted seven points and six assists.

NV - Old Tappan now has a losing record of 8-9. As for River Dell, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-13.

Coming up, NV - Old Tappan will take on Wayne Valley on Wednesday. Wayne Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something NV - Old Tappan surely won't give up without a fight. As for River Dell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-51 win against Cresskill on the 21st.
