Softball Recap: Poteet Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Poteet never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Spruce Timberwolves with a sharp 22-0 win. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Poteet's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Spruce, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Poteet will face off against rival Seagoville at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Spruce is set to square off against their familiar foe Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
