Softball Recap: Clearfield Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

With a playoff win on the line, Clearfield rose to the challenge on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Somerset Eagles 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bison have posted since April 1st.

Megan Wisor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Clearfield's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Eve Siegel, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win snapped Clearfield's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-12 record. As for Somerset, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Clearfield nor Somerset have any future games scheduled.
