Baseball Game Preview: Union City Soaring Eagles vs. Bloomfield Bengals

The Union City Soaring Eagles will take on the Bloomfield Bengals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Union City's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Bloomfield's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Union City's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Ramsey hitters got past them. The Soaring Eagles lost 14-0 to the Rams on Friday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Soaring Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Union City's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Bloomfield, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Bloomfield's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Union City has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Bloomfield, though, as they've only averaged .335. Will they be able to contain Union City's hitters?
