Baseball Recap: Doddridge County Takes a Loss

If Doddridge County was feeling good fresh off their 15-9 takedown of Ritchie County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs came up short against the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears on Thursday, falling 16-4.

Doddridge County's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Fairmont Senior, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Doddridge County will square off against Braxton County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairmont Senior, they will challenge Grafton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Polar Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bearcats have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
