Baseball Recap: Ecorse Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Ecorse never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past Trillium Academy 16-0. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with Trillium Academy: they've now won eight in a row.

Korry Buxton was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elijah Darby, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Elijah Carl was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Ecorse always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .773. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.

Ecorse's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Trillium Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-2.
