Baseball Game Preview: Homestead Highlanders vs. Cedarburg Bulldogs

For the first time this season, Homestead will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Cedarburg Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Homestead fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Brookfield Central on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the Lancers.

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Cedarburg came out on top. Their pitchers stepped up to hand West Allis Hale an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Homestead now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cedarburg, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Homestead beat Cedarburg 9-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Highlanders repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
