Baseball Recap: Lincoln Academy Comes Up Short

Lincoln Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-4 in the process. They fell 4-1 to the Camden Hills Windjammers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 11-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Camden Hills' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Camden Hills' part, the team relied heavily on Carter Campbell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that Campbell has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Brian Leonard, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Coming up, Lincoln Academy will challenge Morse at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Camden Hills, they will take on Belfast at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Windjammers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
