Basketball Game Preview: Unity Christian Knights vs. West Lyon Wildcats

Unity Christian and West Lyon are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Unity Christian Knights will take on the West Lyon Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Unity Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Tuesday, Unity Christian took their contest with ease, bagging a 74-41 victory over Central Lyon. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Lyon). They blew past Sibley-Ocheyedan 86-40 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

West Lyon's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.3 points. As for Unity Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Unity Christian couldn't quite finish off West Lyon in their previous matchup back in January and fell 71-69. Can Unity Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
