Recap: Central Christian Cougars vs. Little River Redskins
This season hasn't been kind to the Central Christian Cougars, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They took a hard 45-27 fall against Little River on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Central Christian in their matchups with Little River: they've now lost six in a row.
Little River was led to victory by Logan Renken and Jaxson Konen. Renken scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Konen scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ty Janette, who scored 5 points along with 6 rebounds.
Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Little River, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Christian will square off against Macksville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Macksville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Saturday. As for Little River, they will head out on the road to face off against Moundridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moundridge will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
