Soccer Game Preview: Westville vs. DeMotte Christian

Westville is 0-9 against DeMotte Christian since August of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Blackhawks will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Westville has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westville came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-1 to Kouts. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Westville were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, DeMotte Christian hadn't done well against Boone Grove recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand Wolves a 2-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for DeMotte Christian as they're now sitting on four straight.

Emmelene Dyke and Elsie Burlingham scored both of DeMotte Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

DeMotte Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Westville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Westville suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to DeMotte Christian when the teams last played back in August of 2023. Can the Blackhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
