Soccer Recap: Port Jervis Takes a Loss

After soaring to nine goals the game before, Port Jervis was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Monticello Panthers by a score of 2-1. Port Jervis haven't had much luck with Monticello recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Port Jervis' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Monticello, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1.

Coming up, Port Jervis is taking a road trip to take on SS Seward at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. SS Seward's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Monticello, they will venture away from home to square off against Eldred at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
